What is SALSA?
In 1999, the HELP!Line Center developed SALSA, the Serve & Learn Student Association, as a way to connect youth with opportunities to serve. It also allows teens to create and carry out meaningful service projects that meet community needs and inspire youth to get involved. There is a group of students that really want to work on a hunger project. They number about 75. The guidelines of the organization don't allow fundraising. This is done so everyone has an equal opportunity to participate. Jennifer Abels at Helpline has been looking for sponsors to help out the students in SALSA. If you would like to help her make this project a reality, send her an e-mail at
Salsa@helplinecenter.org.
We at Kids Against Hunger need their help. We have a goal of 50,000 meals to be packed on a bus destined for Haiti. If you would like to help, let Jennifer Abels know today
